Rie Odsbjerg Werner

Rie Odsbjerg Werner is the CEO of TryghedsGruppen/TrygFonden, where she leads one of Denmark’s largest philanthropic organizations. She has more than 15 years of leadership experience spanning the public, private, and nonprofit sectors, with a strong focus on finance, governance, and democratic enterprises.

She currently serves as Vice Chair of Fondenes Videnscenter, a board member of Mind Your Own Business and TrygFondens Familiehus, and a member of the presidium at Mary Fonden. Additionally, she chairs the Danish Ministry of Industry’s Committee on Good Governance in Democratic Enterprises. Previously, she was Chair of the Board at Peace of Mind in the United States and a member of an expert group on democratic enterprises.

Her expertise includes governance, ownership models, corporate strategy, and organizational development. She has extensive experience in leading political processes, transformation management, stakeholder engagement, public affairs, and crisis communication.

Werner holds a Master’s degree in Political Science from Aarhus University (2005) and an MBA from Brussels (2010). She is recognized for her value-based leadership approach, ensuring that organizations navigate complexity while fostering positive societal impact through strategic governance and cross-sector collaboration.
