Systems Innovation Action Researcher

Bio
Katie Stubley has been working for over 15 years in the fields of systems thinking, design and social impact. With a background in education, learning and facilitation she has incorporated this into how she approaches systems change. She enjoys working with and building the capacity of institutions, collectives and systems to create the change they want to see. As a Systems Innovation Action Researcher she has been constantly moving between the teaching and the doing of systems change to ensure that what she shares with others, has also been tested and experimented with across projects. She has been part of several of the global leading institutions on systems change and through that has developed an eclectic and context-driven approach.
Organisations that Katie has worked with include the Presencing Institute (Senior Faculty/UN SDG Leadership Lab Facilitator), Griffith University Centre for Systems Innovation (Associate Professor/Systems Innovation Action Researcher) Commonland Foundation (Ecosystem Innovator Asia Pacific Region) MIT IDEAS Program - Systems Action Lab Asia-Pacific (Faculty), the Australian Centre for Social Innovation - TACSI (Associate), Centre for Social Impact UWA (Lecturer/Strategic Design Manager/ Catalysing Change Lead), the Centre for Dialogue ANU (Associate) and the Academy for Systems Change (Global Fellow). Areas in which she is currently working on systems-led design projects include regenerative landscapes, homelessness and family wellbeing and safety.
