Jim Mackintosh

Bio

Jim Mackintosh is Commonland's Director of Landscape Development & Support and leads a team of c. 20 people that support organisations across the world engaged in holistic landscape and community restoration. Born in Aotearoa New Zealand and based in Amsterdam, Jim has a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Otago. Jim worked in finance in New Zealand, London and Amsterdam for 10 years before joining Commonland in 2015 when it was just a start up. Ten years later the Commonland team has grown to more than 40 people and utilises a systems-approach to landscape restoration, using amongst others the principles of Theory U developed by the Presencing Institute and Commonland's own 4 returns framework.
